+1 acetone/nail polish remover

Do not get any excess on anything else. It rips paint off quickly.

Put the nail polish remover on a cotton ball and apply carefully. It's pretty strong stuff.

I usually use a razorblade and work under the edges carefully. Once started they usually peel off in strips. Use WD40 or mineral spirits and a plastic scrubber to remove the adhesive from the frame. Takes a little time but works for me on Paint as well.

A hair dryer or heat gun with a chunk of plaster as a scraper is the least chemical or finish damaging method I've seen. I wouldn't go anywhere near the frame with a razor blade. Follow up with Goo-gone citrus cleaner to get any residue off.

Acetone is super nasty stuff. I try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary, and always wear gloves and have fresh air.

Chunk of Plaster?
Weird. I meant plastic. I usually use a tire iron, but a credit card works well, too.

Second the heat gun or hair dryer, but I usually use my thumbnail.
