I am planning the update of our forum software to a newer version of vBulletin and need to do a little more maintenance on the forum before the update takes place. If all goes as scheduled, then I will take the forum down at 5pm this evening and it should only be off-line for 30 to 60 minutes.

I'll keep everyone posted if anything changes in this schedule.

. . . is this the promised upgrade to the new version that will permit use of holographic remotely projected avatars?

Dave -- It's one better, if you send me enough FRNs, you can have the prototype of the replicator version I've been working on :D

We are back and I completed most of what I needed to do. For anyone that cares, I backed up our forum database and then optimized the tables. Then I replaced all references in the message posts of either www.serotta.com/forum or forums.serotta.com with forums.thepaceline.net. I still need to do the same replacement for the user signatures, but this will wait until later.

Thanks for being patient.

One more update, I am planning on updating the vBulletin forum software this week. Any suggestions for a good day/time to do this? Early morning, lunch time, etc?

Just before, or just after lunch time ..... that's when I usually go ride. :)

Thank you for all your time and hard work Keith. You are the Clutch man!! (Are you riding one yet?)

Hey, lunch time is the only time I ever look at the Paceline. Otherwise it's a total, semi-obsessive focus on work.

Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Thanks again for everything!!!You're welcome. Once I upgrade the software, I'm going to check into the iPhone forum app. Just checking, are you talking about www.tapatalk.com?

When you update the software, perhaps you could address this issue: I have to log in every I visit the new forum, even though I check the "Remember Me" box every time. Same thing on my computer as well as iPhone. I never had this problem with the old forum unless I didn't visit in a very long time.
