As i mentioned in another wtb thread looking for top mounted brake levers, i broke the pisiform bone in my left wrist trying to stop a stupid fall last sunday. I'm in a cast 3/4 of the way up my forearm, covering a good chunk of my palm -- but i can still hold the tops of a bar.

I can't fathom spending another 4 weeks on the trainer, and would rather ride a known flat loop at an endurance/zone 2 pace than churn out intervals at an hour a pop inside. am i just being stupid? i know it's not the middle of the summer and all, but i can't get the hours in that i want to get in on the trainer, and fear that another month indoors, and inconsistantly training, will screw up my racing plans this year..

so what do you think? if i can comfortably brake from the bar tops and have a solid grip on the bar, should i hit the road?
