he just sanded and polished away the "clear" anodization. he did a very nice job, i'll say that much. would i pay 300 bucks for it? well, no, since i can do it myself. :D

it's a nightmare to do, been there done that. here was my attempt on some older dura ace cranks:

Except when you de-anodize first and have a buffering machine. Then you can make big $$$ on eBay :D
