They look like nice rings but they don't have the sizes I need.
I need a 52/36 compct 110 for road, and a 64/104 bolt pattern 24/38 for the dirt.

I have heard form several folks that these are the only aftermarket rings that stand up well to Di2 powerful servos.

$160/pair from the factory. Don't know if that's a good deal or not.

The 50-34 set interest me. Does any retailer carry them? Would be enlightening to see some consumer reviews.

I'm curious also. Sent an email to see if they sell wholesale to IBDs.

Taste is a personal thing, but IMO they look too industrial. I prefer a bit more elegance.

It is if you ride alot or replace more often than normal just for the helluvit, since these rings are supposed to last at least twice as long as regular rings.
One pair of these at ~$160 is about same price as new OEM 7800 rings (Excel sports has 7800 on sale for $180/pair, for example). Plus they look awesome. I tend to hoard wear items like chainrings since I don't plan on replacing my 7800 group with anything new for another several years, so stuff like this is meaningful to me.

I really like the looks of these, and they seem to mesh really well (perfectly, in fact) with the ends of the 7800/6600 crank spiders.

From the Bikerumor story: " I took the bikes to my mechanic and had the chainrings properly set up..."
I get it how with the shifting ramps the inner and outer rings need to be oriented correctly with regards to each other, but then what?
Special tools?

Special tools?

Maybe he didn't have the tool to hold the inner "nut."

i know someone using some sugino rings with di2, they said it works well

in the standard size they have two looks, one looks more like shimano hollowgram or the new red and the other "clover" looks more traditional

Not a lot of difs compared to d ace...

However anyone running any SRAM will be a lot better off running them with a shimano kmc or whipped an chain.

The shifting is notably crisper...

I've installed more than a couple of Di2 with Quark cranks, they work fine.

There is a distributor, called BTI. I'm gonna look into them. Too bad they don't have Campag 110/112, like TA has had for 3 years.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to chime in some helpful points as I see there are some questions about our Forged Chainrings. Here are a few...

- We are Dealer Direct to any USA Independent shop cab become a Praxis dealer. We just launched at last Septembers Interbike and dealers are signing up daily with us.

- Consumers that want the rings asap to their door can go right to our Praxis Online store and we ship globally direct. It's just one avenue for consumers.

- BTI is also a way USA dealers can get select Praxis Rings to sell at their shops.

- Our 53/39 BCD130 Standard rings come in 2 aesthetics. The Classic, and the Clover. Same shifting quality and forged profiles...just wanted to offer two options as some people like the traditional look, and others like the Clover look.

- What is on our site is JUST our initial offering. We have many more gear combos in the works as we speak for both 110BCD and the 130BCD. Just can't speak to them but many you speak of are coming.

- Campy Specific BCD rings are coming too.

- We are a small grassroots team, we just need time to one by one get new combos out. All things good take time, and forging is resource intense and takes time.

If any other questions you can always look at our FAQ page or email us directly. Thanks for the interest in our rings!

I should probably ask my question to the single relevant thread.

For the 50/34 Praxis rings to be used with 2011 Force crankset, is this strictly a bolt on application, or was there something that needed to be ground or something like that?

Bolt on.

Just installed a 52/36 110

Dave gave me some early protos' for my MTB, they work great. I hear the production stuff works even better!

I just ordered a set to mate with a Red 2012 crankset. According to a WW thread, it should work, since someone there has already tried it. I am not sure if the catch pin is removeable but that's mainly an aesthetic issue.

I purchased the 110bcd 52/36 to put on a Rotor Quarq...I then read on line/ heard from Joachim that they didn't work with the Quarq due to calibration issues. I spoke to Quarq and they said they have calibrated quite a few of the Praxis rings without issue but have had a "set or two" that gave them funny readings. The Quarq w/rings are off to Quarq now for calibration.

Replaced the Sram Red Grey colored 52/36 that were stock on my Tarmac 2011 Comp Rival. Shifting is light years better with the Praxis. Worth the price.

I use Stronglight CT2 chainrings. Can't personally compare them to Praxis but I do know that they're about half the price. One negative is that I think you can only order them from a French website (XX Cycle).

For the SRAM guys, mate these rings with the new Red front derailure and it won't even feel like the same bike...

I have gone through 3 sets of these chainrings and have bent 2 pairs. I'm not exactly happy with the strength of the CT2 130 BCD 10/11 speed. I am hoping that Praxis will work with my Quarq.

My next set of chainrings for my Quarq will be Wickwerks. Can swop from CT2 130bcd to Wickwerks without recalibration.

Depends on which Quarq you have. If it's one of the latest versions with Omnical (like this (http://www.quarq.com/sram-red-quarq-power-meter) or this (http://www.quarq.com/cannondale-quarq)) they will work. The earlier versions seem to have some issues calibrating with the Praxis.

Did you get your powermeter back from Quarq? They got it to calibrate? Very interesting. I read on the Quarq site that they reccomended sticking with standard ring - by that I mean 53/39 or 50/34. I was interested in doing a mid-compact in the future like your set-up.
