Am I the only one that feels really old hearing this news?

Seems like just a few years ago...

Well, he lived longer than Jimi Hendrix, who upon returning to the US from England had a brilliant manager who got him the gig of being the opening act for the Monkees. Don't know if there was ever an odder pair of acts. But this one has to be near the top of the list.

Hendrix didn't continue for long as he would come out and start to play, but all the teenagers drowned out his music yelling "WE WANT DAVEY! WE WANT DAVEY".

Bummer. I loved watching the Monkees as kid. Beatles ripoff, but meh.

I'm old enuf to remember and enjoy their music and TV show....
This news does make me feel a little bit older today.
