Pretty slick if you remember to leave your iPhone on...
http://www.rackreminder.com
And if you remember to buy an iphone beforehand...
I was looking at that too and they will be coming out with the app for Droid.
I ended up just going old school for a little more $$: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7054/6776957458_40f429e6b4_z.jpg

That is a painful lessoned learned. Ruined my first road bike that way. Fortunately, Treks were not that expensive back then. I will have to check that app!

I just move my garage clicker from it's normal spot into the glove compartment. It's saved me a few times from losing the bike.

+1 that's what I do
However on my wife's SUV it has one of those built in programmable clickers, I made it a point not to install a roof rack on it and instead use a hitch rack when needed.

Put a chair or a bucket or a kids bike or whatever...RIGHT where you park your car, when you leave the garage.
Boogie home open the door as you glide up the driveway and OOOO, can't pull in b/c there's something there.
Best app for the job.

you stick it on your bike and it beeps your phone when you approach any low lying barrier...not just the locations you manually input.
