Hello all. Fellow biker from PDX here looking to say hello to all.

I have a friend whom continues to score some amazing deals via Paceline and I thought it was about time I jump on that boat.

I seem to be an avid collector of bike parts with the intent of building a bike around them, and most of the time that florishes into a complete (2 aluminum track bikes (one is just a frame), 2 steel (commuter and track specific), 1 aluminum 80's Cannondale Crit built up with Rival/Force, and my beauty Traitor Ruben Steel Disc Road/Cyclocross built up with Force/Red... (with a 29'er to arrive on friday!)

I have a wife whom happens to be in a wheelchair (Muscular Dystrophy) and as much as I like talking to her about bikes, it doesn't seem like she shares that passion. I have toyed with the idea of getting a cargo bike that I can haul her in :-D

I tend to love to trade for parts, as well as Vinyl work (I have a 6" vinyl cutter, which seems perfect for all of my small vinyl decal work, including bikes!). I am also an avid photographer (I'd say professional, but I rarely like to charge people to press a button). My main source of income though comes from being a caregiver for my wife, which allows us to spend a lot of quality time together, as well as freeing up my time for, really, whatever I would like to do!

At this point, I feel like this post is more of a personal ad then an introduction, so I'll leave it at that haha. First rounds on me

I happen to have a PedalRoom (http://www.pedalroom.com/member/Lilcphoto) with all of my bikes. (forgot about the Osprey that's sitting in storage.. not sure what to do with it).

My favorite has been the Purple Leader 725, as well as the Ruben of course. The Leader is a 56cm, and I couldn't really get comfortable with anything other than a 70mm stem and risers. Though I did ride it 50+ miles, and had no complaints.

You got good taste in bikes!

Which do you find yourself riding the most.

5D Mark II, 50mm 1.4, 100mm 2.8L, 17-40mm 4L, 70-200mm 2.8L IS.

I've been toying with getting a 24-70 2.8L, but now that the new one is out and it lacks IS I might as well just buy it (knowing they won't make an IS version).

They all have their own purposes... The St0p Cycles (http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/st0p-cycles-eta-3712) is the one I get the dog food with, take to have lunch with my wife...but it still needs a few tweaks (I threw on some 26er yellow fenders so I could have the 29'er's for the new bike)

I just recently built up the C'Dale (http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/cannondale-criterium-30-4343), and it is loads of fun, but it also has its quarks (old frame, 126 dropouts, new components on old frame)... Plus it's been raining here in PDX, so its nice to have fenders.

When I am going on a ride I love the Ruben (http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/traitor-ruben-2927), but I also quite enjoy the Brassknuckle (http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/srsly-brassknuckle-3068) . It's waiting on a wheelset that should arrive early march, so until then it's out of commission.

Nice gears!

I am eagerly awaiting the 5D III or whatever. I am currently using the 350D so it will be a huge step up. Why not get the new version of 24-70L? The MTF chart is promising, although the price tag at $2.3K is not :(

My coworker is planning to to sell his 24-105L (I plan to buy it) and the 24-70 V1 to get the new one...

Edit: Great pictures on your site.

Welcome. I hope you will post lots of great pictures here. You are, obviously, very talented. I hope you will post pictures of your design/decal work, too, in addition to bikes and rides you take.

Nice. I had a 5D I for a while. My current body is the 7D. As much as I loved the full frame style, I'm in too many situations where I need better frame rate and more flexible focus. I really considered the 5D II. If the rumors of the 5D III are true, I just might have to start saving!

My go to lens for people is the 85 1.8. I try to make that lens work for as much as possible because I love the results. Next up is a Sigma 24-60mm 2.8. I'd love to get the new 24-70, but Canon is really bringing the prices of their lenses out of consideration. I'd love to have that and the 70-200 2.8 II for the ultimate kit, but we are talking about Super Record EPS pricing now!

Cheers and welcome!

I got the 100mm macro for all my fun shots and it turns out that it's an EXCELLENT portrait lens.... not as nice as the 70-200, but size wise it is much more manageable!

I am working on getting more photos of my decals... It's really much more of a hobby than a job, as I love to create very unique things. I'll try and get some good ones up soon.

You will fit right in... Get the 24-70 old version beautiful lens. I'm a Nikon shooter and couldn't recommend it more. I've shot jobs with this lens when I'm shooting with a fellow canon pro and it's a wonderful lens. Once again welcome. :)
