Considering one of them new silver Centaur compact doubles from Reparto Corse. All bikes currently built with parts from the far east. No experience with Campy bottom brackets. If I were to install this compact crank what size bb to buy and do Campy tapered bb's require any special tools beyond what I use for my Shimano tapered bb's?

Park makes a campy BB tool - Shimano just wont quite fit....you can dremmel it if you feel lucky.
the campy tool costs somthing like $30, the park equiv. $10 or so.

You will need a Centaur bottom bracket. The the Record/Chorus bottom brackets have a shorter spindle.

I would get a Phil Wood BB instead of a Campy. My Campy record lasted about 2K miles.
