I'm currently running a Shimano FC700 compact crankset with my 7700 group, using a 10-speed chain. All is working pretty well (the 10-speed chain definitely helped with noise in the smaller cogs). I'm currently being tempted to pick up a SRAM Red compact crankset at a good price, but want to make sure I won't have any compatibility issues. Any problems I should be aware of?
Edit: by the way, the RD and shifters are 7700. The FD is a newer 10-speed Ultegra (6800 maybe?). I replaced the 7700 FD when it finally crapped out last summer.
