9 speed DA/10 speed Ultegra

Is 9 speed 7700 DA cassette compatible in 10 speed Ultegra(6700 i think) shifters and drivetrain(triple crank). If not, can adjustments be made and how difficult? Same question of interchangeability with Tiagra 9 speed group?

to shift your 9 cassette with your 10 shifter you probably need #2 from these guys:

your 9 cassette will work with 9 Tiagra shifters.

the spacing between 9 speed and 10 speed is different. if your running a 10 speed chain, it will work but obviously not as good as a 10 speed cassette

thanks for the tip. have you used the conversion pulley contraption? wouldn't a more direct solution to the problem be to put a 10 speed cassette on the 7700 hub or is this another incompatibility?
