I've been using Cyclemeter on the iPhone which I like a lot. It looks like it does support heart-rate monitors from Wahoo Fitness: http://www.abvio.com/2011/10/04/v6/

I'm waiting for the Strava people to integrate HR with their GPS stuff. It will probably be Wahoo like equipment but the software should make it work kinda like Garmin. I carry my phone anyway and don't want to put stuff on my bars or stem. Strave says they are working on it.

Using an iPhone--or other smartphone--as a cycling computer to track gps, hr and power data is an excellent way to use up the battery in very short order. For that reason, I think it's better to stick with a purpose-specific device (Garmin or whatever) instead.

(Not to mention the size-factor for the phone and ant+ dongle will be truly ungainly.)

I actually do run a Garmin right now but wonder what others are running. I was thinking that there would be good apps and perhaps better. I do a lot of trainer miles and thought the larger screen.

I use my iphone and the wahoo antenna with Qalvin software to calibrate my Quark.

It has all the cycling features, uses ANT+, and it is always good to compare numbers coming from the Power Tap hub I run on one bike to the Quark I run on the other.

It will do GPS and all cycling functions but as was previously said, battery life is ridiculously short that way.

I've found turning off the generally useless location and notification features for everything except Cyclemeter gets me the same battery life as a normal day's usage.

Recorded a 3 hour ride today with no battery issues.

I also use cyclemeter and prefer it to any other iphone cycling app. Battery use is not a concern if you take a few minutes to customize the preferences...Five hour rides with never less than 75% batt. Prefer it to my garmin 705

Like others have said, Cyclometer. It's surprisingly robust.

I just downloaded Strava and may give that a try.
