random thread/observation/recommendation:

stopped by a shop in NYC today while running errands to pick up some brake pads, and saw these in person. bought a pair immediately.

these are the nicest quality stainless cages i've laid my hands on, very good build quality and appearance. dont know/care about the exact weight, but they feel very light too. great cages. will look good on my Serotta which is being cut in half as we speak.

Got them on my S&S Kirk Terraplane. Love them. Super easy access to bottles. Going to get some for my Merckx MX-Leader.

I am a big fan of king stainless cages. they're light, inexpensive, grip a bottle firmly & just right, made in colorado usa.

how do these compare?

They still look cool, but not as cool as the King "iris" cage, which cost less and are MUSA.

i have the kings on two other bikes. they are certainly nice, but the arundels are made very very nicely.

Put the Arundel's on Whitey and I really like em. They look great and they work.

I love these. I have a pair on my Gaulzetti. Water bottle removal/replacement feels very natural, no fiddling about at speed, and retention is positive. My other bikes have King Cages but if I ever break them I will switch to the Arundel cages.

Beautiful cages.

For a bit on the other ends of things (in terms of age and weight), check out this Hi-E teflon coated cage that I pulled off my girlfriend's Zeus Professional.
It's ultra-light, but very unstable. Mounted with a hose clamp:

Have these arundels on my Bedford and ss kings on my 29er. Both great IMHO!

Digging up an old thread. The Arundel stainless look pretty sweet and the Kings look nice too. How do these compare to the Elite Ciussi stainless? Do either the Kings or Arundel mark your bottles? How easy are they to remove the bottle?

Not often I drink with a guy at night and buy his products in the morning.

These cages are wonderful. Why buy anything else?

hey, my thread!

i have both Keith, and also a pair of the kings in titanium. none mark up bottles. the king classic styled cages are more like the old school elite cages in terms of bottle fit, but i love the arundel cages too. they hold the bottles just a little tighter, and look great. build quality on all of them is excellent.

Bought a pair of King SS years ago and have never had any desire to replace them. Simple elegance and they just plain work.

Kings do not..very elegant, particularly the Iris..I have sold maybe 600-700 of them over the years.

I have the Elite SS Ciussis and the ti Kings...I like the ciussis for aesthetics, but they DO mark my bottles (BADLY) and they're less tough feeling and assertive (I don't know how to word this) when I'm putting the bottles back in. I don't really like the King for aesthetics, but it doesn't mark the bottles and it has a GREAT feeling to it.

I prefer looking at the Ciussis, my wallet prefers the Ciussis, but the Kings are much better at their job (and it isn't really close).

I have them on my Tommasini. They're great!! Shout out to my Arundel boys in Ft. Worth even though they never sent my t-shirt to me, LOL

P.S. They make great tape also.

Can't believe a stainless waterbottle cage thread made it this far without
someone posting the Nitto R cage.

Seriously - made in USA ti King or Nittos at more money? No brainer - as beautiful as the Nittos are.

Can't add any comments about the SS cages, but the Arundel guys are class.
If you ride in Fort Worth much you have probably ridden with them at some point. Nice on the bike and off.

I do like the look of their cages and always thought the design seemed smart.

Old post, but Arundel cages are made in China?
