Route suggestions from Sacramento to Bodega Bay

This summer I'm planning a self contained tour from Sacamento to LA or San Diego following ACA's Pacific Coast Bike route. I need some advice on the best route from Sacramento to the coast preferably Bodega Bay but am open for suggestions. We were also hoping to catch some wineries along the way especially if the Silverado Trail can be worked in.

Please offer up any suggestions and side trips, it's the ride not the destination!

From Sacto, head to Davis via the bike path over the Yolo Causeway (this parallels I-80 over a bridge for several miles). Find your way into Davis. Take Russell out of Davis to Winters, pick up Hwy 128 out of Winters and head over the hill via Lake Berryessa to Napa Valley. It will put you in the Rutherford/St. Helena area. Choose your poison going over the hill out of Napa and into Sonoma, either Oakville Grade or Spring Mountain. Bring your climbing legs. Numerous ways from Santa Rosa area to the coast.
