• Total responses = 161
o Supportive = 43
o Undecided = 22
o Against = 96
60% of the respondents were against. And you'd think that folks who were pro-cycling would be more motivated to go out of their way to find the web site and comment positively than those who are con.
What's in it for me? I just want to sit on my butt and eat bon-bons.

Some great road riding around Milton too, it's a beautiful area,
easy drive for you upstate NY folks.
Looking forward to this, hope it's not another white elephant.

Going to be interesting, there is a bike builder in guelph for example. And the next velodrome is at London, like 2 hours from milton. Sure track racing will speed up big time in canada, they had one of the best sprinters ever.

Snake Road. Awesome climbing.
I used to live in Hamilton. If you don't mind urban riding there are four great climbs in the city (all the accesses up the "Mountain") that are within a kilometre or two of each other. These were part of the Worlds in '03.

They could have left the track and added the four ecosystems: Rainforest, North American Wilderness, Gulf Estuary, and Arctic, one for each quarter of the track. C'mon trackies, HTFU!!! :p :D

You can't have a realistic North American Wilderness without the dumb rodents.

But is it really needed with t-town less than an hour up the road? Again, I'm all for more velodromes but IMO I'd say build a new one further south in the MD/DC/VA area.

One is needed in DC metro area, the Pa one is a pita to get there, too much of a drive to just go and come back.
I had money I would build one only for myself and my friends, no hipsters admitted! :D

The proposed National Velodrome in Coatesville, PA will be an indoor facility, with flexible space for other pursuits- perhaps bike shows, swaps, etc. The only other US indoor velodrome is in Los Angeles if I am correct. The Lehigh Valley Velodrome (Trexlertown, PA velodrome) is outdoor only. Surely, a world class indoor facility on the East coast would be a good thing, perhaps luring international competitors.
