and on Wed, my local club did a killer ride near the coast in Sonoma County. I can't afford to retire, but I am really enjoying it. F-ing gorgeous.

The ride report brought back a lot of nice memories. When I had the good fortune to spend a year in Berkeley, I found the weekly Duros West ride. I rearranged my life so I was free to ride it every Thursday. Each week they do a ride just like that Nancy Yu ride. Those rides were some of my best memories of that year.

Did a ride through the wine country a few years ago; Sonoma up to Calistoga, back down through Napa. Just magical.

Looking forward to doing the Leipheimer Fondo this year, if the stars line up.
