Good morning gang.
I put 25mm tires on Michelle’s 19mm wheels and greatly improved comfort without giving anything up. (seemingly)
I’m riding 23mm hoops. Will going from a 23 to 25mm tire improve anything?
Thanks
Dan

Going to 25c tires will greatly improve the comfort of your rides, it's only a slight change size-wise, but the comfort felt is substantial. Who knew!

Yes. The wider contact patch and slightly lower pressure greatly improved the comfort, handling and feel of my bikes when I installed the 25MM tires on my 23MM rims.

Make sure that you have the clearance for the increase in width of the new tires as they may run wider than spec because of the wider rims.

just be sure to lower your pressures accordingly... you don't have to run as high with 25's...

I never really gave it much thought until... a few years ago I did a 111 mile ride that had about 48 miles of dirt roads and went from 23c tires to 25c tires and ran about 12 psi less and the ride was much smoother.

Of course tire pressure has a lot to do with it like fourflys stated.

bigger tires always equal better ride, all else being equal. IMHO
