hey guys...I've got a mishmash of components I'm trying to build a commuter with...can anyone tell me if I can run a shimano 9 speed drivetrain (brifters, derailleurs, chain) with a 9 speed veloce cassette ?
Will it shift okay or do I need a shiftmate ?

Cheers and thanks for the help...

They are spaced about .2mm different, so the total error will be .8mm at the high and low cog. That isn't much, and will seem to shift okay at first, but as stuff wears it will get crummy.

Not really well. Wheels manufacturing makes a spacer kit for your Veloce to shimano spacing.
