Had the opportunity to see her perform a couple of times. A true Icon of winter x-sports.

Sarah was a super cool gal. My wife was pretty upset yesterday. We are out of town at a District Meeting for my wife's company where she had a big Environmental speech to give and she had a hard time preparing for it.

We meet Sarah a few years back through some of my wife's college friends and have actually skied with her quite a few times and developed a good relationship with her and her husband. Awesome down to earth people.

My thoughts are with there family and Rory, we hope to see you soon.

GOD BLESS

Very Sad. The sports community mourns her loss from coast to coast.
Canada has lost a World Champion and a great Sportsperson.

Here is a video of Sarah & Rory. I got very very sad when I watched it. Since she lived just up the road in Squamish I know alot of people that have skied with her & know her. Wonderful person. True sports woman & pioneer for her sport. She will be greatly missed.

Yeah, I heard this news yesterday and was devastated. Being from the area I know everyone here was pulling for Sarah.

It's too bad tragedy like this can be the thing that puts all other things in perspective.

Equally tragic is that apparently the family has $550,000 of US medical bills because the insurance agency representing the CFSA says the coverage she had doesn't cover athletes not participating in sanctioned events........ sigh...

Very sad news indeed. She was a great role model.

Sucks about the medical bills too. If you want, here's the site for donations

Very sad news. It's even more tragic that it happened on a routine trick.
