Has anyone stayed/ridden with them? Interested in thoughts on the rides, as well as the accommodations etc.

Thanks!

I stayed at the Italian Cycling Center a few years ago when Bill Speckman, who founded YCI, was the ride leader. He is a super nice guy and very strong rider. I have not stayed with the YCI, but I sent a friend his way two years ago and heard good reports. The riding there is awesome and Bill knows the area and how to lead a group. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with him.

Trying to compare and contrast both places -- Bill's place is a bit more, but seems like they may have a bit more in the way of activities for non-cycling spouses, etc. Getting pretty psyched for a late May trip -- sent my CDA to Bilenky for couplers this week !

I live in Verona, best area for training, close to the lake Garda, monte Baldo, Valpolicella wine area (amarone wine) and close to the Dolomiti..Stelvio and also not far from Galibier alpe d' huez and Izoard

Surely there would be no Valpolicella or Bardolino on a cycling trip?

Ha! Bill was here at my place doing some plaster work for me a few weeks back. That's his "real job" back in the States for the "off" season. Heck of a guy, and he does fantastic work with plaster! (Had him skim coat the old horsehair walls in some rooms we've refurbished over the last few years.)

I hope to got over there for one of his trips someday.

My vote would have to go to Eros.

I mean really, how often can you meet and ride with a TDF stage winner?
