Building up a new bike, and saw these tires from Conti. Look pretty cool, in 25mm which I was looking to use on the new frame, and look fairly similar to their GPs with some retro-looks.

Link to Conti site for tires (http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/bicycle/themes/race/racetyres/grand_prix_classic/grand_prix_classic_en.html)

Anyone have any experiences with them? Thoughts on ride quality? Should I just stick to the Ultra Gatorskins or GP4000's I've used for years now?

Continental makes GP 4000 S's in 700x25 already. They also make GP 4000's in colors in 25 mm width.

I ride the 4000s in summer when roads are clear and although I hate the ride quality, I use Gatorskins in the winter because I hate changing a flat in 20 degrees even more.

If you like the look, give the Classics a try. Tires eventually wear out so it is not like getting married.

180 tpi is not that high, I love Conti's, but I'll stick to 4000's

I would use Michelin PRO 4's though. They actually measure 25 mm in cross-section, measure your Continental's and they will measure more like 23-24 mm.

I have a GP 4000 25 that measures a spot-on 27. Wonʻt fit my Alpha Q Pro
fork.
