I am looking at options for a spring break trip for our family and we'd like to involve a good amount of biking in it. Here's what we've got:
We'll have about 7 days.
Will be in April.
Must be in western U.S, and preferably a day away from San Luis Obispo by car.
Involves 12 and 14 year olds without much experience except for riding to school.
Will be taking ATBs and hybrids, so gravel and fire roads preferred over technical/steep stuff
Will be riding about 2 hours per day at most (to keep the moing/whining down)
Should have other activities to keep everyone happy.
I have thought of Palm Springs or somewhere in the SW desert, but does anyone have suggestions?
