Wasn't planning to spend this much on a bike, since I'm a casual rider, but this was too good to pass up on eBay:

Angles? Do you mean different than basic?

nothing unusual about the frame when you consider it was probably a custom build. looks like it was built for someone pretty short that wasn't very flexible.

It seems like the head tube angle and seat tube angle are not typical, but it does not mean that it is bad. Not bad just different.

Serotta builds great bikes. It'll ride great. Probably not the ideal rig for crits, but that doesn't sound like the kind of riding you want to do anyway. You'll love it. Seriously, a perfect bike for a long day in the saddle.

It is virtually impossible to judge the person that a bike will fit or the bike a person will fit... Even when pictured with rider and bike.

telling someone what a bike will or will not be good for is even more silly.

That's very likely a Great bike at a Great price if it fits.

Well done.

This is not necessarily a comment on the OP (it could well be that he really wanted an opinion on the bike), but I have to ask: why is it that so many people on cycling forums buy a bike, then immediately turn around to ask whether they got a good deal? I've seen it countless times. It is as if they'll be riding the deal, not the bike.

It is much like anything else you purchase, you want to believe you got a good deal so that you don't feel bad about your purchase. It is kind of like going into one of those souk marketplaces in the Middle East where you are offered an item at $100, but you eventually get it for $20, feeling pretty good about your negotiation & purchase. Then, three stores down, you find the same item for $5. While you may have gotten a good deal, you know you could have gotten a better one. In this case, it sounds like the OP is happy with his purchase, so I think he got a good deal. Could he have gotten this same bike cheaper? I don't think we will be able to answer that unless someone offers one on the list in exactly the same size with same parts package for less.

Great ride, best ti frames are all ti frames. Good score, it'll last many lifetimes, great ride...

In a lot of ways, I think ti is the best choice for a bicycle frame.

I just bought the identical frameset on Ebay except it was new from a Serotta dealer - the geometry the OP listed is the stock geometry straight from Serotta.

I had thought about bidding on the OP's bike when it was listed earlier, but I would have been forced to sell all those components ;)
Campy please

Nice bike.

Just go ride it the way you want!

It may want to go fast, but that doesn't mean you HAVE to ride that way.

enjoy!
