Bike Virginia ??

Any thoughts pro or con on Bike Virginia? I was thinking about doing the ride this year as it is not too far too drive. Also is camping better vs hotels?

many in my area go on the ride yearly and like it....so do it for fun


I always like the motel better than camping but it is a personal choice based on budget.


have fun and sign up for it early. Get the hotel rooms NOW for you can also cancel later but probably not get later.,

Feel free to even posts as it gets closer and see if you can meet up with some who are on forum,

Bike Virginia is an extremely well-run event. I personally prefer staying in hotels to camping, but many of my friends camp at Bike VA and enjoy it. All depends on how you feel about sleeping in a tent if it rains in the night or if it's hot, and maybe how often you get up at night to go to the loo and how far you want to walk to do it.

The area it'll be in for 2012 has excellent bicycling potential. Pete is right: "Do it !!!!!! You will not be unhappy with it."

If you're considering staying in a hotel, get busy making reservations now.
