Cyclocross lube

I recently purchased a new cyclocross bike. I know it's not the season yet but I am using it as a road bike/off road bike. Tried White Lightning but I'm not impressed. I live in Florida so there is lot's of sand. I use Dumonde on my ConcoursCS and was wondering how appropriate it would be for off road. Thanks for your input. BTW, IF Planet X is the most fun I have ever had on a bike.
