Ahhh. It's Monday morning in Shanghai (about 7:45pm for you folks on the east coast) and am always floored by how many people ride bikes for transport over here in the far east... despite the absolutely terrible air quality.
The variety of bicycles is stunning and reminds me of a more industrialized version of Amsterdam, or Hamburg.
Going into the office, I say this guy on a big tricycle hitched to a plywood flatbed on two wheels pulling a completely full load of fruits and vegetables... in full traffic, wearing a surgeon's mask, going uphill at slow but astonishingly and regular pace. I bet he smokes too.
