I have a wide range of tastes in music, and what I listen too is generally tied to the mood I'm in at any given time. Sometimes there's a song that sticks with me...

Yesterday I was leaning heavily on the Black Keys and "Howlin' For You"

Official Version - which is more like an over the top movie trailer...

Today it's the Stones and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking...

What mood are you in today, and what's sticking in your head? :)

Last evenning my now "estranged" wife officially moved out. I've been in the "turning my home into a bachelor pad to keep myself optimistic in life" mode all morning. Best way for a man to feel okay about moving forward. Some Chivas Regal and hot tea with Stevie Ray and Double Trouble BLARRING from the old Kenwood. You know? The one she wouldn't have in the living room because it's "so big and clunky and is the one you've had since you were out of high school". Yeah, Cold Shot, it's in the living room now! Lol.

Love those old Kenwood's. And the proper way to listen to SRV is damn loud.

Nice Xmas present. Know the feeling.

PBS has this studio session with SRV and Albert King, not loud, but two giants together, un-real is an understatement.

SRV and John Lee Hooker were supposed to record together, now that would have been other-worldy.

Yeah Binx, I found out a couple of weeks back that 17 years didn't hold any water with her. That woman was a cold fish and we are both going to be bettter off for it once we get past all the hooplah. I think we are both doing just fine for what it is. But a little booze and a little blues is sure helping lol. Off soon to ride. Thanks much for sharing the link!

Many years ago I picked up my husky from the vet, after major surgery, and she cried all the way home. Grabbed the mail on the way in and had a new CD in the pile. Carried my pup down the stairs and she lay next to my chair howling in pain. She was not given any pain killers as they feared she would walk on her repaired joint.

Anyway, I was very stressed out and tried to calm her down. I put on the new CD and as it played, I stroked her neck, she slowly calmed and went to sleep. The music wafted over me and I could just feel the stress seep out of my body.
