I can't seem to find too much information on a Eddy Merchx Alu Sprint. I was wonder if somebody here have or had with this frameset. I am looking for opinions on this frameset, it looks to be from the late 90's or early 2000's. Comes with Centaur 10 speed group and Alex B390 wheels. The bike rides well and fits me. thanks. The seller is asking for $1100, which i think is a little high.

never owned one but considering the present market and depending on much wear it has,$1100 is about double what its worth IMO.
i think that frameset was near the bottem end if i recall correctly.

imho, the alu sprint was a knee-jerk reaction to the market trends at the time. i agree that the current asking price is quite high. 500.00-600.00 seems more reasonable.

As usually happens in these cases, the seller wont lower the price. Turn the page and look something else.

In my local CL there are so many uber overpriced bikes that is just re-tar-ded what they want for old bikes.

I'm not sure if i'm right saying this but as many european brands, some models are being sold super expensive more than nothing based in their past glory, and thats why sellers just try to get as much as they can based in that fact, no matter if the bike is a POS or not.

agree that its too high.

it's my experience that if a typical craigslist seller can identify the word "campagnolo" on any part of a POS bike, it's instantly worth 3x what it might otherwise be worth.

Alu Merckx frames ding nearly have the cache of the steel frames. I agree with above, a big high.
