just a thought: as a data-point exercise, this would be a lot more relevant and helpful if people also included their pubic bone height/true inseam, and saddle height, bb ctr to saddle top.

950mm PBH
860mm saddle height
180mm cranks; will be trying a set of 200s shortly

165, 170, 172.5 and 175: they're all fine by me. I'm 6' 1.5" and PBH is 89.

The 165 are for fixed gear and for a 650b conversion which now has a low BB.

Frankly, I'm skeptical that crank length makes even a 1% difference in performance, particularly once you get used to a new length. Admittedly, 1% is a whole hour ifs you're riding the TdF, but it's small given all the other performance variables incurred by casual riders.

85 cm saddle height

Had 180s on mountain bikes for years

Had 175s on road bikes for years, converted the all to 180s this year

Rode the fixed gear with 170s sunday, felt a little odd. May put a set of the now orphaned 175s on it.
