I recently picked up a Morgul Bismark Manx via the interwebs. I need some info on the seatpost size and google hasn't yielded any results. It is made out of Easton 7005 Aluminum and has a 31.8 outer diameter seat tube.

27.0 and 27.2 seatposts are both too large. Is this whip a 26.8 or was the seat tube never properly reamed? The seller claimed 27.2.

Just want to see what size it is "supposed" to be. I think I'll probably have a local framebuilder ream it to 27.2 if he thinks it is safe.

I have an Easton 7005 Kavic. I am positive of the tubing, as it's anodized and the Easton 7005 label is stamped in the tubes. It takes a 27.2 post. You can just make out the Easton logo in the pic, I think.

Take the clamp out just in case and check the cut in the seat tube.

Email JP at Paketa. He and his brother bought the "Morgul Bismark" name after the shop(I worked there from 1993-1996) went under. Originally frames made by Easton, then JP started welding them. Now he owns Paketa.

I seem to remember some Morgul frames that were 26.8 but that was 15 years ago.
