I'm not a big fan of feeler threads but I have too many frames and I'm trying to decide what to sell. I have a 56cm 2006 Concours Ti frame, 56cm, with Serotta 02 fork. The ti is in good shape but the decals have rubbed off some. I was thinking $1000 + shipping for f/f/HS. Is this reasonable? Would I have better luck removing the decals or replacing them? Here's a photo of the worst of it, on the seat tube. Otherwise the frame is in great shape.

I think that is in the ballpark -- perhaps a touch rich. I just paid $700 for a Litespeed Tuscany with low end bars, stem and seatpost. It's a few years older but the deals and frame are in excellent condition.
Last year I paid about $1100 for a NOS 2005 Serotta Ti Fierte.
I would think that replacing the decals; cleaning it up well; and posting good pictures would help you maximize value.

FWIW A year or so ago I bought a slightly older Concours Ti in better shape for a couple hundred south of 1K which I thought was a great deal.
If it's in great shape otherwise and has dt and/or tt decals, I'd pull off the st decals and post it up. That'd be the most cost-effective solution and I personally like a bike with decals on just one tube. Keep in mind that sometimes there's discoloration underneath the decals.

remove the torn decals and replace them if you can get the new decals. I think someone posted that only recognized refinishers could now buy decals. OTOH I'm sure there are lots of other places that can cut some for you besides Serotta.
I would pay quite a bit more for this bike than I would for a Tuscany.

I just bought new decals from Serotta for my '97 Ti, and the only stipulation was that they would only sell you the top mount decals if you're not a frame builder/dealer - which is what you'd want to use on the Ti finish anyway. If you were looking for decals to go under a clearcoat finish you might have to jump through some hoops.

Clean it up, Replace the decals, Take some good pics and List it. See what the market tells you it's worth. You have to decide what the lowest number you will take is and go from there...you'll never know until you try it!
It'll sell or it wont. Pretty Simple, just don't base another purchase on the sale of your Concours until it's sold.

Alright, thanks for the tips all; based on the device here and the amount of PM interest I received I think I will try to put some decals on then list it for sale "officially"...!
