With an investigation spanning the US and Europe involving multinational enforcement agencies we are likely to get the definitive expose on the entire EPO era.

Doesn't look like there will be a penny or a needle unaccounted for when they get to the point of releasing indictments. I wonder how many of the big players - financial, medical, managerial and athletes are cutting deals now?

Zero... And a Million

The new info in that article... And the number of articles like it in the past 2 years that have restated the same speculation.

This thing needed to be done quite a while ago.

The interesting thing here is also jurisdiction... Spain, and Italy will probably just say F*** off (but in almost poetic fashion)... Belgium will say the same with no poetry what so ever. France will act like they're outraged, but they're winning again and wont let a US investigation matter... The UK are not much of a changing factor and the Swiss have never, ever taken responsibility for anything they're in charge of. Germany will likely do what's needed.

Looks like more opinion, speculation and suspicion but nothing concrete. At this point, trying to prove something happended in the 90's/early 2000's is like trying to get new conclusion on the Kennedy assassination.

Without evidence this is just a which hunt, and Landis is Joe McCarthy.

I understand the frustration/anger with the investigation because it's so intimately tied to the reality of a broken hero/icon.

It is truly unfortunate for the fans, but kinda like Landis said, it's probably a bad idea to have sports-people as our heros.

Unfortunately, wishing it away is unfair to today's cyclists... especially young North American cyclists in this particular case.

Another dum a$$ doping thread

Maybe these can go they way of $$$ threads?

I'd much rather see a PSA thread than another one of these.
