Yes, there are so many frames that group would not look good on. Modern Campy and even modern Shimano look pretty good on traditional (whatever that is) looking bikes.

Looks like the new Red cassette has dropped the missing tooth technology too.

Actually later sram cogsets got rid of this a whikle ago.

Gonna be light, hollow crank and hidden spider ala Campagnolo. Wish they put some more $ into lever reliability, maybe they did. At least they made it look like Campag ones...another hood, grand.

BUT so yesterday...mechanical and 10s only..better get on the stick!!

Also maybe a chance to sue sram again....lever shape, crank design...glad they addressed the FD, only took them 3 years.

I have first gen Red on my CSI and two of those cassettes. Finally found Chain-L No. 5 to make the drivetrain run almost as quietly as Shimano. Over 2,500 miles on the Red with no issues though.

Is Red still loud and clunky shifting?

I had (key word) their 1st generation Red when it first came out.

Too funny....hey Paul E I think you have one of my early Red cassettes!

That was a very stealthy transaction in broad daylight at Rockefeller Center.

Guilty as charged!

how can you tell anything from that video? it has all the production values of a '70s porn movie shot through a keyhole.

My Red group has been excellent. Instead of going to 11speed or electronic, Sram decided to improve upon their existing 10speed mechanical group. I'm all in favor of these choices.

Lighter machined cassette, lighter hollow crank, new 'rotating' front derailleur, potential for disc brakes, etc... These are great things and all you guys can do is complain about the video & graphics?

Yawn.

I'm with you.

'Course, I'm waiting for all the 'upgrade fever' to hit so I can finish building the 2 frames I have laying around waiting for parts!
