Has anyone ever tried sawing a couple of inches off their legs so they can fit a bike thats just too gorgeous and too big,,

What u can do is to buy a thicker saddle like a prologo scratch for example, that will bring the seat post lower like inch an a half, then use 180 mm cranks, and there u go, 2 inches :P

39.5 seat stays. Snappy?

Actually if you did not notice, the drop outs are adjustable. So pretty much u can adjust the softness and how the frame will behave that way. U can't go too short either of the tire could touch the seat tube :D

So you can go from 39.5 to say 39.75? ;)

There's not that much wiggle room in the sliding dropouts. Super cool concept, though. I've always wanted one of these bikes, but I'm in the process of n-1'ing.

My guess is that the back position is something like 41.5 or so. Would be cool to change those dropouts for track ones :D Hell of a track bike :D

"Great fixieee conversion!!111!"

I've seen Gios pistas, but never ones with chrome headtube lugs.

The tire clearance on the rear is crazy. I currently have the adjustable dropouts moved to the front most position, but they can be slid back.

Do you have any more detailed pics of the wheels, hubs and components? How would you rate their condition?

Thanks

I had a GIOS Compact Pro for 3 years, 10,000+ miles. It was great frame and perhaps the nicest riding front fork (also chrome) I've ever used. The only reason I sold mine is that it was too small for me, despite what the fit formulas recommended.

BTW, the adjustable rear dropout is a really nice feature and it does make a difference in how the bike rides. I had mine fully extended and it increased the chain stay length to about 41.5 cm if I remember correctly.

Decided to part it out, and already have the wheels and the frame/fork/headset tentatively spoken for.

Friday firesale, get it while it's hot.

Purchase it today and I'll have it in the mail by tomorrow!

Also to potential suitors of individual parts, I'll keep you in mind, but I'm looking to sell this as a package before parting it out individually.
