Hey, any road rides this time of the year are gravy... at least here in the Northland.

34 degrees, but little wind today, so along with the beautiful sunshine it felt warmer. Just appreciating the dry roads, crisp air and pre-winter scenery, not knowing whether there's another ride left before the snow and salt come.

This is a local loop that features country roads that are very lightly traveled (especially mid afternoon), and lots of short relatively steep hills. And of course, some animals as well.

Camera is a new Canon S100. Had to break it in.

Damn, jealous of the S100! I've been trying to find a used S90 for a while, haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Well, my daughter 'inherited' my S90 before she moved to Spain. She's become a real photographer, shoots much more creatively than her old man. This is a replacement for that camera.

The S100 is easier to hold and shoot, feels more substantial, and seems to take decent pics so far, but of course... I've only had it a week or two.

The ability to zoom when shooting HD movies is nice, too.

we all seem to like the no handed handlebar photo .. Yep. And if my wife asks, I did have the strap around my wrist. Really, I did...

What a lovely day you had! That is beautiful countryside. Looks like ideal cycling territory. This little warm spell has been a welcome respite before winter sets it. I love winter, but I'm enjoying these comfortable days.

Look like great rides in the countryside.

The Klein in the last pic was a nice surprise. My favorite bike maker ever.

This is what riding is all about... no Garmins, no Dogmas, no Skinsuits

I have the same attitude, thwart. We in the NE had the warmest November on record and it continues - 50's today and tomorrow. Around this time of year, I wimp out occasionally with the cold, but I'm going out now just because I can.

Nice pics.
Murph (who is heading out in a few minutes while it's in the 50's in Dec)

Great pics...just can't beat a nice ride on some country roads, especially on a nice crisp sunny day.
