figured out something and moved some things around. now I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive carbon road fork with fender eyelets. 1 1/8". Rake seems to be about 50mm. not looking to spend a lot and I have stuff to trade. needs about 180mm of steerer. thanks!

I have one question just because happen to have one carbon fork moving around that is practically new...
1 1/8 or 1 inch???? Threadless, for carbon integrated frames or semi integrated or 1 inch type of forks??

Maybe he/she doesn't really know, since it's for a friend?
When shopping for a fork, you'll need to specify:
-rake
-steerer tube length
-1" or 1 1/8" thread(less)
-integrated or non-integrated HS
I have in storage:
1 inch Alpha Q CS-20
and
A 1-1/8 inch Deda Black Magic 2
I will get more detail (rake, price, pics etc) for you if either meets your wishes. Just PM me.

^TRUE, but I assumed 700c and the aluminum vs carbon steerer issue was prolly gonna be dependent on budget. while we're at it, why doesn't the buyer/seeker specify the weight/color/shape/brand desired? ;)

sorry for the confusion, all. The friend lives in a different city and gave me limited details at the time of OP. just wanted to see what my options were. Now I know the fork is an alpha q that came off a 2009 caad9 with super record. I'll find out a couple more things, but I'm pretty sure of the rake and I'll get back to a couple of you about purchase.
fork is non-integrated 1 1/8" Full carbon steerer.
Thanks!
