My opinion that is that of the all of the almost 200 competitors in the Tour de France take drugs. It is very likely that the same group takes 'illegal' performance enhancing drugs. The only question in my mind is how far they push the envelope.
What percent of the peleton takes 'illegal' drugs based upon your opinion?
I remember hear the story of Antequille (sp?) commenting on the drug scandal of 1968 (amphetamines). When asked his opinion his response was that the race would run very slow and be very boring without the drugs! It could be a bull puckey quote, but if not it is illuminating.
