Not sure about the rest of you, but this has been such a great Thanksgiving weekend for me. I get both Thursday and Friday off--first time in my career I've ever had an employer that does that.

Next, just b*e*a*u*t*i*f*u*l weather here in upstate NY this weekend! High's in 50's up to 60 and mostly sunny skies. I got in 32 on Friday on the Serotta Legend, then 33 yesterday and 33 again today, both on the LOOK 585. I don't recall ever getting in a hundred miles on a weekend like this in late November before. I've also got a few good friends to ride with and so could share this beautiful weather with them.

And an added bonus . . . ate like a horse on Thursday and can honestly say I've worked it all off! :D

Sorry I don't have any spectacular pics of the Alps--or upstate NY countryside--but this weekend I just said to heck with the camera and just rode and rode and rode . . . :)

What has everybody else been doing on the bike this weekend?

great riding weekend! temps near 70 almost every day of the weekend. also managed around 100 on the Legend over the weekend, and today, I took the folder out for a real shakedown run. it's unlike anything i've ridden. it just forces you to sit up and relax, take it eeeeeasy, real easy. nice ride, very relaxing. the local parks and tree lined streets just look great this time of year.

That is a great bike, Angry.
Looks like the love child of a BMX bike and a folding scooter.

Spent most of the past week deer hunting with good buddy csb.
We shot the two biggest bucks either of us has ever taken.
I rode both Friday and today. Rides a lot like Dave's, about 30-35 miles one day, probably 25-30 today. Just a real pleasure to be riding in September gear at the end of November.

Planned to ride Thanksgiving morning and ended up sleeping until 10:00.

2.5 hour rides Friday (cyclocross), Saturday (fast road), and today (medium fast road) were all spent with good freinds in astonishingly nice New England weather with the exception of thick, cold, really wet fog this morning for about 1/2 the ride.

50 miles in the mountains on Turkey Day. I think most of those miles followed the ToC Mt. Baldy stage route.

Then on Sat, a nice 100 miles on PCH from the land of new millionaires (Manhattan Beach- Tiger Woods had a home here) to the land of MILLIONAIRES Malibu. Sunny and warm the whole way. Would you believe a late November heat wave with highs in the 80s? And yet there were pockets in Malibu with 60 degree microclimates. Got home on Sat and read that for the first time in a generation California has more native born residents than out of staters. I think the riding will keep me here for another 10 years.

It was warm and humid all week, but things changed Friday night. We had your cold NE weather in Dallas on Saturday and Sunday, along with gusty winds. I loved it!

I got out for 35 on Saturday with a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for a coffee. Walked the dog about 3-4 miles at a brisk pace on Friday.
Ate like a hog on Thursday.
Sunday, gathered up too huge piles of leaves with my new handheld blower.

I got me a buck last Sunday, when he ran into my car. 140 lbs, 8 pointer and $5,600 worth of damage.

Overall a great weekend here in So. Jersey.

I took a shot at the 9000 calorie challenge at Strava and came up way short but I did get to ride every day over the holiday weekend. Thursday and Friday were spent riding a trainer in Steamboat Springs while my little guy napped and my wife skied a bit. Saturday was OK - pretty cold by the time I got out for 90 minutes. But Sunday was picture perfect - 60 miles on and off-road in the foothills.

Rode the Pittsburgh Dirty Dozen (http://youtu.be/MJ7akznx-p8) on Saturday, which is the 13 steepest hills in town, all the them over 20 percent, with Canton Ave. topping out at 37 percent. (not a typo)

i got llew out for a shakedown cruise on the cobbles.
somewhere between this photo and the ride home
in the car...one of my campy chainring bolts rattled

Wished I had brought my camera cause it was a gorgeous Sunday for a bike ride. Did a 60 miler from North County mall up Lake Wohlford, down Valley Center where I was flying down till I almost flew off the road from the gusts. Climbed Mt. Palomar with all the motorcylists racing up and down the mountain every couple of minutes just a couple of feet from me. Descent was fast and fun. Cole grade climb was a struggle with full blown cramps just 50 ft from the top where I had to get off and walk half way to flush them. The ride back to the car was fast as I was able to draft from a friend. Had he not left his keys in my car, it would have been a longer day.

What kind of gearing do you use for all those hills? I've done 25* with a 32 and I've had to walk a good 25 feet up just to get to the more mellow 15*.

Did something new for me, entered my first race in more than 20 years, mix of cyclocross and mtb mostly.

Took my CX down for the ride, much dirtier until crossing a foot deep creek about 2 miles from the end.

My lowest gear was 34x28 with SRAM Rival and it was *just* enough. There were several unique setups, including mountain bike cranks on road bikes or actual mountain bikes.

Then again, several of my friends did it on singlespeeds.
