GPS for mapping MTB rides

Suggestions please for a GPS unit to take on MTB rides, often in the woods, that will record and map the routes we ride. Don't need voice directions or any automobile related functions...

I have a Garmin Venture Cx. It's a rugged unit, and the tracking feature works well. I tend to get more lost with it than I do without it though.

If you're just logging, Android phones and iPhones have their respective apps. Google makes MyTracks, which is pretty good. Dunno what iPhone users use.
