Here are a couple of photos from today's ride, which was COLD for a Bay Area native like myself. Even after spending four years toughening up in Williamstown MA, I still get my ass kicked by the cold. Today there was a bone chilling damp that cut through most of what I was wearing.
The climb to Quaix is five minutes from our apartment, and I don't ride it very often. It's not as sustained or enjoyable as the climb up to Gua, which is right next door, and there are more cars. However, laziness and the cold conspired to make me pass the turnoff to Gua and go for Quaix instead. From Quaix (first photo), it was down the valley to the Vence, then back up to near the col de Vence. Nothing extreme or long, but good enough for today.
