frank, that's very exciting...

i would love to support you in your effort
and ride with you for a portion.
will you pass through omaha??
if so, there's a section of old lincoln hiway
that might make your route plan...
i rode it solo just this morning--
--just a thought to add to the growing number--

I will have more info later. I turned my Mom loose on web design and fund raising. Let's just say that she was happier with this news than she was with the phone call 24 years ago. I've thought about this and spoken with some of you about this for some time, well it's time to get off the pot and put it out there. Wish me luck, later send money. Ride with me when you can. I've seen and conquered worse, when I'm done Josh, maybe I'll write that book. Enjoy the day. Frank
Don't know if you would be up for it, but if you are, post the route and the updates & I'm sure more than a few forumites would ride with you as you moved thru their area............maybe ask them to pledge.......it would be a win/win and allow some of us to participate as we were able.

Congrats on the 20 year mark.

This is inspiring.

If your route takes you through Upstate NY, I hope I can share a few miles with you. If you need a roof and a good meal, we're here.

Perhaps you might something useful in these two threads from the TGR forums:

First
Second

I don't know you personally, but I'm always willing to throw down some coin for anyone willing to take on such endeavor. Since I can't do any such thing in the near future, I have to live vicariously through the exploits of others.

Also, should you find yourself anywhere near Cincinnati, I can provide a warm shower, clean bed and a generous helping of food.

If 2009 RAAM goes through Switzerland, I'll gladly put you up.

Seriously, this is great news. Even more because I have a faint clue of what you've been through. You more than deserve the exhilaration of being on your bike for a ride so long most of us can't imagine.
