Pogliaghi

Here's my 1980 Pogliaghi Italcorse. Although I have a NOS set of C-Record, I figured without the Nuovo-Super Record mix, it would make more sense to just build it up with Athena 11. So here she is. I'm still pissed at Campy for aluminum torx bolts in the shifters, having to hunt down a hex bolt with a 14mm head to tighten the crank, and the worst chain pin I've ever attempted to use. But it's silver, Italian, and still beautiful jewelry on a beautiful bike. Thanks again to Noah at Velocolour for his artistry!

It's cold and pissing rain at the moment, but I'll post glorious springtime photos soon!

Really a pretty bicycle and a smart build.

I've owned two Pogliaghis and both were fun to own.

You are right about the fit though, as both were sent packing.

Wow. Classy. Absolutely love that thing. "Po's" show up on the NYC cl now and then, none in my size as of yet. Would love one of those.

well done.it can be tough to get modern components to work aesthetically on an 80's steel frame but you've accomplished it as well as I've ever seen.
I wish i could have kept the NOS 1991 Pog i found after years of searching but the seller mis-measured the 52 as a 54.i sold it to a lucky forum member several years ago,i do recall he was super happy to have ended up with it.

I'd love to see an SNL skit/spoof using the name Pogliaghi.

If you google the "SNL Bvlgari watches" skit, you'll see what I'm talkin' about.

That's a stunner, love the classic look of the wheels though they have the modern appeal of 11spd, well done
