Saratoga Frameworks factory shuts down

Very sad for the employees that were working to the last day.

I guess everything has to come to some kind of end. So many nice bicycles came out of that factory. Hopefully all that know how can find a new home.

But former Serotta CEO Bill Watkins has challenged that. Watkins, who is a creditor in the bankruptcy proceedings, is also suing Divine and Case for breach of contract; he hopes to recover about a half year's salary and benefits of $87,0000 not paid to him after he was fired last summer, plus $22,000 in damages and legal fees.
$87,000 or $870,000?

Well, well, well.

For the employees, it's sad. Some real talent has been unfortunately shat upon.

For certain others, some would say just desserts and what goes around comes around.

Brian Case...absolute poison to any thing he touches. The building, equipment, and talent are still there...this may not be over yet.

As a Serotta Colorado owner it's sad to see the makers of quality bikes come to an end like this.

sh*t storm

demise of a once great brand, but often poorly managed business.

Sad to see this finally end. I hope they will all find work soon, but it's too bad that won't be together anymore.

This had to happen, and the better sooner than later. Its the main chance for Ben to get his name back, and possibly get started again at whatever level.

damn, hope they all find work fast

whether with Ben or others

I was more shocked to see that madfiber's patented intellectual tech sold for only 30K and their actual tooling equip for only 7k
I had their wheels and thought they were pretty cool and liked the ride.
