Live streaming of Jens's hour record attempt
I got the email that Cycling.TV is carrying it (for those who want to shell out $30 for a subscription), and it looks like Eurosport will (also asking for money). Otherwise, the coverage listed/linked on Steephill is slim pickins'.

I thought trek bikes reached an agreement to stream it for US fans.

Cool. How long will it take? I need to plan my day.

Should be around an hour give or take.
I've heard rumor that Jens can do it in 50 minutes though. |

I think it depends on whether he can stay away or if he catches himself.

As stated above the attempt will be an hour give or take, the pre-attempt commentary (Merckx, Hinault and Lemond battling it out for the mic) 45 mins, post attempt wrap-up another 45 mins and commercial breaks plus half time intermission (I think the Beatles are playing)1.5 hours. Should prove to be a value at $30.

I don't even know what to say about this.
He is making a mockery of the hour record, but the UCI already made a mockery of it, so it is hard to blame Jens for the whole thing. Maybe just 20%. sigh.

I can't believe they didn't consider this. They should have made an exception and done it outside the velodrome because of this risk.

I snickered. It was definitely the funniest post of the thread.
