This isn't particularly exciting, but it was my first ride in France. A colleague said this looks just like Wisconsin.

During July, Joe Breeze and I toured England doing a series of lectures. One stop was in Nottingham, and the next day we rode in Sherwood Freaking Forest.

It seems that the English navy came and collected the ancient oak trees during the 19th Century. Nottingham realized that if they were going to cash in on Robin Hood, and believe me they are trying, they needed trees in Sherwood Forest. They went with pine trees because they grow a lot faster than oaks.

Now it's a mountain bike park and has multiple recreational opportunities. Here we are, on borrowed bikes.
