Secretariat had a heart twice the size of other horses. Some folks are just meant to do what they do.

Why we'll never see the likes of Merckx again. Doubt you'll have anyone win the yellow, polka dot, green, and most aggressive rider jerseys in the same Tour. And he would have won the white jersey too if they'd given it out that year in '69.

My question is how do we compel the top riders to be more combative? How do we compel them to actually want to win stages? Huge time bonuses for stage winners? Bigger intermediate time bonuses? Smaller teams? Fewer TTs?
