Specialized is the way to go if you want top tier gloves without the strap.

My current go-to gloves are the De Marchi Pro Gloves. They have a tab along the edge of the index finger similar to the Assos design, which works surprisingly well for taking the gloves off -- in my experience, better than loops between the fingers. The De Marchi ones also add a tab on the other edge, which makes them even easier to remove than the Assos. The De Marchi are similar in design, padding, and fit to the Assos, but are less expensive. |

I've got cheap Capo gloves without a strap. They have lasted a surprisingly long time.

Capos are excellent, comfort, durable, high quality. No complaints with years of service.

I almost always buy gloves without the velcro straps…
Current favorites are Bellwether Pursuit. They have held up far better than similar from: Giro Craft Chiba Castelli Many of the gloves with pull loops between the fingers tend to rip at those seams…many others lose shape quickly. I'm a big Capo fan and would like to try their Crono gloves… -Mark in St. Louis |

scissors
i've done this since the late '80s.
i buy my gloves so they fit snug and just cut the offending velcro bits off completely. if you're sloppy it'll look a little hillbilly, but take your time and do it neatly and it works a treat! |
