Lightbulb Color chosen - powder coat - Kona Rove - updates separately

Hi all,

I would like to enlist the services of Seattle Powder Coat, to refresh the color of this Rove to be something that suits me better.

EDIT: I have a color in mind now, just need to finalize the shade.

** No pics of the current frame, because I want the only colors in this thread to be new possibilities.

** I am specifically choosing a powdercoat for durability, and because I will be very happy with a single color application.

Contemplating a touring bike build with bar-end shifters for this one, actually, but time will tell..

So, PL'ers.... whatcha got?[/B]

Looking at raw powder pricing, I'd do a holographic colour. Unlike wet paint the powder is only a few dollars more per pound than normal colours.

The translucent orange on my track bike is cool. I think prep and manufacturing quality play a big role.

What about "soft touch" paint in a fade?

When I was going to get a bike powder coated (I sold it instead), I was choosing between 2 colors:

Malibu Barbie
Illusion Raspberry

Prismatic Powders will send you "swatches" of their powder coats, which is pretty cool. The online pictures never really do them justice, you can really see how the sparkle looks in the sun on their metal swatches.

I checked these out -- super vibrant!

I've been debating whether I want to go loud with this one...

Thanks for sharing,

For this one, I'm thinking solid color -- mostly because I wouldn't want my other bikes to get jealous

The Malibu Barbie one really kills in the sunlight, looks amazing on the swatch anyway. I should buy a cheapo single-speed or old ten-speed and have it powder coated this color just to have around as a conversation piece.

Let me just see what's on Craigslist right now...
