Thought it was time to post up my most recent gravel. Haven't tried it with my 700 BTLOS wheels yet, but the ride is sublime with 650b Byways on it.

Waiting for compatible endcaps to use the two sets of btlos wheels I picked up on the forum (thank you forum folks!) and currently sporting a set of wheels built by a member here.

Anyway... Here's my groad bike. Been doing dual duty lately but I've really been enjoying it!

21.5#s as shown, should be around 24#s with a 20oz bottle and a tool bag.
The rear brake needs some fluid, but good enuf for a shakedown.

In the quest for my all day comfort dirt desert roadish rando bike, I just perused this thread backward about five pages at a time. It's interesting to me to see the various bike changes over the past decade.

Great thread. I want so many of them. Someday a cool bike will be mine.

2022 GT Grade Alloy with Campagnolo Ekar. I've wanted a Grade ever since I saw one in 2015, but wasn't comfortable with carbon on dirt.

(ignore the dog fur caught in the tires)

Well... I "upgraded" the 85 Raleigh with a different crank for more hill friendly riding. Also swapped on some better wheels and GK tires.

But then a couple of weeks ago I went "modern" with a juicy nice 07 Lemond Poprad Disc bike.

My MAP randonneur bike is now sporting 650B x 42 under Honjo fenders. Ready for the upcoming gravel season, and happy to ride in the rain.

I picked up a Cannondale Silk Adventure with a 1" travel Headshok last Spring and converted it from gravel use. Has generic flared carbon drop-bars, PNW Coast dropper seatpost. 44x11-42 SRAM Rival/Apex drivetrain, RhinoLite/XT wheels, and hacked-up Profile Design Legacy aerobar extensions. I guilt it for taking the paved bikeway to the mostly flat dirt trails in my area, though it spent most of last fall sporting 28mm GP5000TLs for group road rides. while I sort out my road bike situation

Some truly inspiring bikes in this thread.

Just curious for those willing to push the envelope with the gravel bikes…and what point do you think a MTB is necessary?
