It's that paint that looks purple from the side and blue/green from straight on.

I like it a lot. I only live a few miles from the shop so that's a big part of why I went with 44. Kris was great to work with and I feel like I got what I wanted. It is the bike that I ride the most by a very large margin.

Another +1 to the Lynskey crowd now that the macho kind limited has been removed of its components. 2016 Cooper CX Frame with Force 22 hydro and some wheels I built up.

It's setup here with 650B byways measuring 50mm on velocity blunt ss rims. Really nice and smooth (though the dirt roads in Vermont are partially responsible). Packs were all borrowed from a generous friend. I can't imagine riding with larger 700 tires because I was lacking in gearing as is while loaded and hitting those country road hills this weekend.

Post mount so obviously I couldn't stop at all, and 15mm thru axle so was really feeling weighed down in the front end vs the new 12mm setups

Anybody into hybrids any more? They were the new thing back in 1991 or so, and my first purchase after moving back to SoCal after 20 years out east was a Specialized Crossroads Hybrid with 21sp 300LX componentry. I learned to MTB on it and it was fully worn out after two years.

I found this (says "road hybrid" on the stem and has offroad geometry) Performance Parabola 21sp bike at Goodwill, actually two of them, for $40 each, I handed the cashier a $100 bill and told her to put $20 to a donation.
I sold the bigger one and kept this one for myself, used it as a spare CX bike for a few of the muddiest races (the few that were muddy, this being Sacramento).
With Tange Infinity tubing, 38c tires and Shimano CX500 triple component group it's no lightweight, but really does cover any mileage/terrain in confident comfort.

Another Lynskey? Sure, why not!

This one is the Urbano, same as a Cooper Cx just with different cable routing, more road than CX so no full length housings. This one is set up 700c and isn't done yet, first ride was last Friday so only around 125 miles on it. The brown bar tape which seemed like a great idea really wasn't and it's already gone. Thomson was used for fitting and there's a Enve on the way so it'll be all matchy match. Also have the TA axle kit for the rear in route. Went mechanical for brakes as I may want to do the new Ultegra 8020 stuff next year. I'm shocked how much I like the Spyre SLC brakes, they make the BB7 stuff I've used feel really awful.
